In his latest film, Werner Herzog chronicles the virtual world from its origins to its outermost reaches, exploring the digital landscape.
The film leads us, the viewers, on a journey through a series of provocative conversations, revealing the ways in which the online world has transformed, how the virtual world has affected the real world and how we conduct our personal relationships in the digital era.
One of the chapters refers to the rise of the robots and how they could affect our world in the future. In the film they talk about some robots that play football. They are programmed to play football almost perfectly, and even if they don’t, they are able to remember the mistakes they made and never repeat them again.
In this chapter it is shown that people will want in the future robot workers because they really learn from their mistakes and won’t have feelings so it’s way easier to keep them determined and focused at work.
It’s kinda sad knowing that people will choose robots over people, a bunch of things over feelings, cold metal over real humans.
I recommend this movie to everyone, because it reveals a lot of unknown things happening right in front of your eyes.
