The commercial tells a brief story about a new motorcycle from Kawasaki with an highly experienced rider. They show an rider that arrives at Isle of Man TT and he imagines that he pushes his brand new “toy” to the limit.
Here is the commercial (listen to that voice at the beginning of the video):
It is very hair raising because Isle of Man TT is the most dangerous race event in the world, and he pushes the throttle to the limit. Yearly there are dying 3-4 racers because there are a lot of tricky turns and because a super-sport motorcycle like that Kawasaki can reach 300km/h very easily. The viewer is expected to get attracted to the adrenaline and to the “voice of the engine” .
The person that brands the product it’s a real TT racer, which means that they use the celebrity indoors-men.
We are led into believing that if we will buy the new ZX6-r we will become a highly skilled rider.
Here is a short clip with the reconstruction of an motorcycle crash:
Personally i find it very disturbing because there are some people that don’t think before acting and they will buy a new super-sport motorcyle and they will die pushing they’re now ‘toy” to the limit. An motorcycle doesn’t forgive any mistake and I felt that on myself. Any mistake on any motorcycle can be deadly.
It is a beauty, but it can be a beast.
