Do you trust this Computer?, a 2018 documentary by American filmmaker Chris Paine, known for Who killed the Electric Car?, discusses the benefits and dangers of the digital revolution.
We have all seen the movie “The Terminator” and back in the 80’s while an AI machine was a scary prospect it was completely science fiction. Today, things which couldn’t have been imagined 30 years ago are becoming a reality, but in a different way. Today much of what we do is transmitted across the internet and more electrical devices are coming with the capability to be online 24/7.
The information is being gathered into large data sets and crunched by computer that acquire self learning.
In medicine, AI is used as a surgery device, in warfare as battle planes with drones, in education as robots that interact with children and many other areas like gaming, aid for aged, politics, human relationships.
I liked the fact that they tried to explain how AI works, but I also wanted to see the AI more in action.
This documentary is an educational one and is for everyone interested to know more about the AI world.
The rating of the movie is PG13 and I give 4 stars out of 5 .
Do you trust this Computer? is a must watch for everybody.
