Moving backwards?

Dear Sirs and Madams,

I am a 17 year old student from Romania and I write this letter to complain about the new decision you have issued concerning the usage of phones in schools.

Firstly,I would like to say that I understand this decision was made in concern for our well-being and in concern to how phones may distract us, therefore minimizing the practicality of our classes. But all things considered, I believe this decision is making us move backwards rather than helping us progress and embrace technology as a way to develop our studies.

Secondly, I would also like to ask you to please consider the fact that we, as a generation, are digital natives, phones being something we’ve grown up with and have accustomed to fully.

Moreover, as I previously mentioned, the usage of phones in school, if done right, could actually help us evolve because we could use them for menial jobs so that we can focus on more important tasks and to be able to give our full attention and energy to those.

I ask of you to please consider the arguments I’ve mentioned and I would be very grateful if you could take it into consideration and try to ponder more on the decision you’ve taken.

Best regards,

Raluca Oros
