Why I Deleted My Facebook Account

Although many people would find this interesting, others will find it out of common, and not popular due to our lifestyle. I did it a few months ago . Why? I had a couple of reasons.

At first , like any other teenager I was fascinated about this social network which was more popular and active that “HI5” itself, it was something fascinating and popular at his time. I quickly learned to use it and it became for me the thing that made me start the PC . Slowly what I saw on the “Home” page gave me more and more questions . I was looking at indecent pictures that wanted to raise as many “likes” as they can (that being their purpose ), it didn’t matter how naked you were, what it matter was to be in the top of the most “likes” and comments , not so different than HI5 . More than that, they were posting the place where they were – “I’m in bed , I’m at school , I’m at toilet , I’m in a tree”. I probably exaggerated with the last two examples, but they were not too different from the real places.

And yes, i used to be part of this, pressing the button “check in ” and showing all the places where I was . Anything you do must be posted on Facebook before you do it. Only by doing this your Facebook friends could know what are you doing , where and with whom.

A part of Facebook is your love life. Does the world need to know whether you’re engaged , divorced , widow or not? First you needed post the relationship on Facebook and then you kissed your girl/boy friend.

It didn’t matter how many real friend do you have. What matters was to have over 1000 friends in your Facebook list. I have decided to delete my Facebook account because it was affecting my life. Surely for some people this would be a thing to laugh, saying ” what a loser “, but for me it’s not like that . In order to live your life as you want, you must not let what other people say influence your life.

A question that runs into my had is: when we will be gone for good , who would ask us how many likes we have accumulated or how many posts we had ? Instead of building our future, we are busy trying not to lose our Facebook friends, or having not that many likes or check-ins. Do we get the most of this life being addicted to this network?
