More than 50 years ago, before the big pollution of the water, the north area of the Pacific was a heaven for the fishermen, because of the wealth of this zone that was full of phytoplankton, big fishes or mammals. But now it is filled with something else: tonnes of garbage, plastic most of it. This island came to be twice bigger than Texas and weighs 3,5 million tonnes, and that was a few years ago. As if this were not enough, it seems that every 10 years the surface extends 10 times. It is the biggest „landfill”of the world and it floats in the middle of the ocean. Do you believe it? To avoid the formation of such new islands, please take care of where you stock garbage. Take care at least of 10% from it. (MĂDĂLIN BERDEA)
