Today people have forgotten the cultural code of good manners. It has appeared as a natural response to the daily problems of society. This would be the tour guide that every people should know.
It is obligatory to answer greeting because refusing it means to offend the person who addresses you.
When we speak with a person, we will not interrupt the speaker in a discussion or we mustn’t monopolize the conversation without letting others intervene. We must use the right tone. We should speak loudly enough to be heard, but not too loud to disturb others. Also we must pay attention to the vocabulary we use. We don’t salute with our hands in the pockets.
Punctuality is very important in any situation, it’s a form of respect.
If we don’t like a gift we should hide our discontent.
At an event or meeting we don’t complain about lack of money or family problems – wash your laundry in the family home.
In any situation we have to say “please” ,when you ask for help and “thanks”.
When you enter someone’s home, you must remove your shoes especially if the others do that.
When we pass by church, we must do the sign of faith, the cross.
We don’t offer bouquets of flowers in even numbers.
A gentleman will give his seat to a woman in a means of transport. He must remove his hat when he salutes a lady, also he in any restaurant always enters first opening the door for the lady and he will help a woman take off her coat. He will kiss the back of her hand when they meet.
The man must go along with the woman on the left of the road to avoid possible accidents.
In conclusion, pay attention to your behavior because it is the key to a harmonious life.
