The film is directed by Zal Batmanglij and it is starred by Izzy, Benji, Sarah, Paige and Sharon. It is based on a screenplay written by Brit Marling and Zol Batmanglij.
The movie is about an operative for the private intelligence firm Hiller Brodd. She is assigned by her boss Sharon to infiltrate The East, an underground activist, anarchist and ecologist organization that has launched several attacks against corporations in an attemp to expose thei corruption. Sarah will infiltrate this organisation and her life will change.
The action takes place in America, and the story takes place in a secluded forest, but also in America. The main characters are Sara, Izzy and Benji.
I am impressed by how say confident Sarah was when she infiltrated ” The East” and knew how to play the next steps.
I think the film is very beautifully staged.
What surprised me is that the main character, Sarah, is also the director of this film.
In conclusion I liked very much this film because everything reflected in that film happens in real life. Today we struggle with this problem, with the desire of people to hurt others just for the sake of their good.
