The final countdown

Corruption, profit, connections and enslavement draw the world that we live in. We can’t call our elders “father” or “grandpa”, we can call them the kings of destruction.

The B.S. generation appears like a pride of blood thirsty lions which kill everything is their path, leaving nothing but ruin for their youths. We are the youths, we want to eat too, we need air to breath, not gas poisoned with the smell of putrefaction.

The day will come when our mane is full grown and the pride of demolishers is old and sick. That is the time to attack, to take over the peak of the food chain, to reestablish the right order. We have the power and the intellect to do so. Then the solutions won’t stop to walk on the surface of our brains. We, who visualize the future, surely are game-changers.

I see around myself how this ill system eats the hopes and dreams of my generation, filling it with doubt, competition and fake life lessons.

Wake up! Be your own alpha! Kill the beast and wear its fur!

A wake-up call for teachers

In my opinion, the most terrible and disgusting thing is animal dissection in schools.

How could you kill some poor animal? Dear teachers, couldn’t you find another way to show students the inside of a frog? Don’t you realize that we are destroyed thus emotionally? Don’t you really have a soul? Why kill the poor animals when you can show students some images or a documentary made by experts? We assure you that you won’t frighten and disgust us as much as in a live show.

Dear teachers, wake up! Would you like to be in the place of those animals? To be cut open like them? I don’t think so! Let’s not destroy everything around us! Let’s be better, more loving and caring for the environment!

Go full circle

Since mankind appeared on this earth, we were always linked with nature and the sky – the stars, the sun, the moon. But somewhere in the process of “evolution”, something changed and we became some robots that want only money. Because of this non-stop pursuit for money, we destroy our very mother who gave us everything, Mother Nature.

We do not care if we breathe polluted air or drink polluted water, as long as we can drive our cars on the highway where there used to be a beautiful forest, home for hundreds of animals. Our grandparents were cultivating their own food, but we can’t hope for that luxury anymore because the soil is so poisoned with waste that nothing will grow there anymore.

We never think where all the litter goes. Well, let me tell you that in the middle of Pacific Ocean there is a mass of plastic waste twice as big as Texas. The problem is we never go full circle, we eat meat, but we don’t want to kill the animal ourselves, we let somebody else kill it and turn those into murderers.

In the end I would say there is no solution for this. We went too far and we can only prepare for the worst. At least fear is a powerful stimulant. And as long as you use plastic bottles and cans, you are as guilty as I am.

Jewelry of destruction

This world was born pure, where everything went full circle: animals kill and give life, creating the infinite ring of life.

In the modern world, the “animals” tend to think about themselves that they are humans with feelings and empathy, but we still kill and give life. The single difference between us and the ring of life is that we enjoy destroying everything that nature gives us. We forge synthetic materials which get this planet sick. We use artificial materials, artificial lakes, man-made chemicals. All these things can only transform our home in a filthy place that we call XXI-st century.

So, get back to nature. I know is not easy to procure your own food and shelter, but I promise you that by getting back to your origins you will come to wear the ring of life, not the jewelry of destruction. Visit your grandfather once a year and you’ll see how beautiful it is to not destroy everything.

Never back down!

Moral pollution is as harmful as the other types of pollution. Maybe even more, because it affects not only your environment, but your state of mind. That’s why more and more people tend to go to a psychologist, to increase their self-confidence. There are too many people in the world who will try to bring you down and tell that you’re good for nothing. I have some advice for those: don’t say anything if you can’t say anything worthy!

Media, violent movies and PC games or gossip shows are a source of moral pollution. There’s nothing good you can learn from them. It just shows how low our society is nowadays. No one cares about the true values and principles, how you feel or what you need, except for your family, if you’re lucky enough.

Bullying is a global phenomenon of this kind of pollution. It is a repeated psychical or mental injury of a person, often reaching up to abuse. I can’t understand how some people find joy in hurting anyone else. I’m realistic and I don’t think that this problem has a solution, because we live in a rat race era when people are too selfish, too cruel and forget about the importance of interpersonal relationships. When it comes about you, be strong and move on gently if you come across an obstacle, without hurting anyone else.

But if you meet this kind of persons, do not listen to them! Avoid them or show them the door.

The second Great Flood

Recycling unused electronics or those that don’t work anymore – I chose this subject because there are a lot of unused electronics, everybody lying around an old phone for example, or a T.V. that doesn’t work. The electronics flooded the market in the 80’s and from then they keep coming and coming.

Recycling is the process that completely deconstructs an electronic device in order to cut down the use of materials find on Earth. Old computers and electronics are a source of valuable materials when recycled, when not they are a source of high pollution and toxins.

Rapid technology changes makes the products that appeared last year to be outdated and from here results in a surplus of computers and electronics in the entire world.

Because of the many toxic substances found in computers like mercury finding a recycling center if very important for the nature because those substances are harsh with the environment and last for a long time. Recycling options consists in sending back the device to the manufacturers or directly to an organization that recycles electronics.

In conclusion recycling solves us two major problems about the pollution: 1. By recycling unused electronics not just throwing them in the nature, we eliminate the wastes and at the same time we get something from them, raw materials good to use for something else. 2. Producing something from scrap plastic and metal gets us to save some of the Earth’s precious resources that are getting lower and lower because of the high consumption.

Plastic pollution

The real issue with plastic bags can be found on our pavements, our parks, our beaches and in the sea. Plastic bags filled with dog poo and carefully deposited at the side of the path are now the number one cause of litter on our beaches and coastal areas.

When they find their way into the air and into the sea, they are even more obscene. Birds and fish cannot digest plastic, and they choke on them, or die with intestines packed full of plastic. There is an area in the Pacific known as the garbage patch that is so full of plastic it takes days to sail through, and can be seen from space. Now a similar area has been found at the other side of the world, near Australia, and our own European beaches are filling up with the stuff.

Another big issue with plastic bags deposited into landfills is that it takes around 400 years to decompose. Taking a long time to decompose in landfill is a good thing, as it means the nasty chemicals incorporated in the manufacture of the bags are not leaching into the groundwater.

The other major scheme most supermarkets do is called “Bags for life”. You buy one large, durable carrier bag for 10p which should last at least 10 trips. When it wears out the cashier will replace it free of charge and the old one will be recycled by the supermarket. The idea supermarkets try to encourage people is to recycle because it helps the world and our lives.

Turn off  TV

Environmental pollution is one of the biggest problems the world faces today. It is an issue that troubles us economically, physically and every day of our lives. The contamination of the environment is also being linked to some of the diseases that are around currently. Yet, most people do not know about this problem.

There are many things you can do to reduce your impact on the environment. If we all use energy, transport and other goods and services more carefully, we can reduce harmful emissions to our air, land and water. Everyday choices have the power to make a difference, and help protect our environment for a clean and sustainable future. Commute smart by walking or riding to work or the shops instead of driving. Motor vehicle emissions remain the most significant source of most common air pollutants. Choose a fuel-efficient vehicle next time you are replacing your car. The Green Vehicle Guide provides ratings on the environmental performance of new vehicles sold in Australia. Save energy, by turning off the television and make sure you flick the light switch when you leave the room.

Air pollution

Air is one of the most important elements of our environment for our survival. It is a natural gift and a free asset. It is polluted in many ways and this is one of the most important problem in nowadays. There are many reasons of it but mostly it is caused by cars, growing cities, development of economy and industrialization.

Clean air consists of several gases. When some other gases or dangerous elements get into the clean air, pollution is inevitable. Ozone layer is affected too much by pollution and it will cause serious disturbances on the environment. People are the main cause of pollution because the things that we use contain dangerous chemicals and they make atmosphere dirtier. Furthermore climate changes because of pollution. Many substances involved in the things that people use, pollute the air seriously. For instance, cigarettes contain carbon monoxide. Another one is carbon dioxide and it emerges when we burn coal or wood. When these gases contact with atmosphere, ozone layer is destroyed.

To fight against this pollution, we must ensure some steps. We can control ourselves and we should act carefully. So, for example, we should use public transportation, avoid spray cans. Besides, people mostly be careful regarding trees as they are sources of oxygen. Environment and also air are so significant for all living beings. So people should take into account this issue and they should do whatever they can to keep our environment clean.

Find a way

Pollution is the contamination of the environment with materials that interfere with human health, quality of life and function of natural ecosystems (living organisms and their environment).

Although sometimes environmental pollution is the effect of volcanic eruptions, most of the disasters are caused by human activities. There are several types of pollution: air pollution, water pollution and soil pollution. Do some community work to save the environment. Find a way to not throw garbage in water, to create special places in which to keep and treat the contaminated water. Install many acoustic panels. Create special places only for smokers. Ride a bike instead of driving a car. Support government actions to combat pollution.

Lights out!

The fact that people are polluting the earth with chemical pollution, sound pollution, light pollution, moral pollution ,they creating the global warming but I want to detail more the light pollution.

People in the past used petroleum lamps, because this classical lamp do not make a big light , people wanted to make more light so appear the modern light bulbs. Today we have more and more light bulbs in our city and lights is more and more high so if you want to see the stars on the sky you can’t see they so because of this a major trouble rises and will appear insomnia. This light pollution can produce corpses, for example turtles laying eggs in a place guided by the sun but they can confused the sun with the light bulbs so the baby turtles will die because they don’t born where they must to born. One of the solution the cause can be the attention, people must be more careful with the lights so we should switch off the light when we don/t need it. We need to stop making such waste.

Black water

Today, lots of people consider the water damage unimportant and so they don’t do anything to try to stop this destruction of the environment.

It is caused by many different factors, such as discharges of industrial and agricultural activities and normal human activities that come into rivers, lakes and seas. To prevent water pollution we shouldn’t waste water. We could close the tap when we are not using the water and try to take shorter showers, if possible. Another thing is to not throw waste down the sink,  paints or oils and the like should be thrown in the trash. And then, we should help to remove waste in areas where there is a lot of water as beaches, lakes and rivers. These are just small tips to avoid pollution but if everyone does it, they will become a great solution.

LAVINIA BETE

The urge of man

What is the human being? What do we represent as a species? At the first sight, the human is both an evolved carnivore and herbivore creature, which is capable of advanced communication and advanced feelings.

Those feelings include the both need and greed which today rule the human’s mind. The exploitation of lands, forests, lakes, and the use of high-polluting factories will bring this planet to a point of no return, the point where everything will turn to dust. Just the simplest thing like recycling is a step to help the planet heal, and also planting trees after cutting them Is a way we as a greedy species can help. Usually people don’t care about what they leave behind and simply ignore it, well that is not a choice since this planet is our home ever since our creation, this planet fed us and gave us air to breathe for many generations to come and go. These being said, I think that every human being can make a difference for this is our only planet.
