A study made in New Zealand shows that children that spent a lot of time in front of the TV have a high risk of being legally charged at maturity and being aggressive as adults.
Also, the research showed a link between the excessive use of TV and aggressive personality features. In the same time, kids who spent many hours in front of the TV had a tendency of experimenting negative emotions.
Nowadays, more and more children are captivated by the TV programs since early ages, starting from different cartoon channels, each of them having a little drop of violence, until they get older and start watching action and horror movies.
In a comment, a study participant said that ,” although we can’t say that the TV causes all the antisocial behaviour, the results of our study suggest that reducing the time spent in front of the TV may reduce antisocial activities in our society.” (TRANSLATED BY: IOANA HOSU)
