Drink Water Before Exams

A study made by British researchers shows that brain performances are increasing when we are drinking water. Students who drank water before an exam had better results with up to 10% compared to those who didn’t, the mark achieved being bigger with one point than the others.

It seems that information flows more freely between neurons when they are hydrated. Scientists say that the water calms the nerves too. They observed that subjects who were thirsty during the exam could also be distracted more easily. In the experiment, which brought together hundreds of students to consider hydration obtained both from drinking water and other beverages, such as juice or coffee. It was noted that among those who consumed a liquid before the exam there is no difference, so strong performance can be attributed to sugar drink.

A previous experiment conducted at the University of East London found that students aged between 7 and 9 years, who drank water during tests of memory and attention, were doing better. (TRANSLATED BY GEORGE BORODAN)
