We live in a polluted world, even if we have advanced technology. The nature is buried in waste, many species of animals disappear, but the pollution doesn’t stop here. There is a type of pollution that not many people know – light pollution, which astronomers also fear.
The latest research found that 30% from the public lighting is a waste because of the old design of lighting installations which are mounted on posts wrongly. In Bucharest there is an annual waste of 6.25 billion because of lighting sky. The solution is simple, we need lamps which can turn the light down. At present there are some lamps of this sort, but in little number.
Learn what light pollution is and try to stop it, not formally, but effectively. (ADRIAN ANDREI)
