It might be life-saving

Dear Sirs and Madams,

I am a highschooler at the National College Onisifor Ghibu in Romania. I’ve recently came across your proposal and although I see your point I have some issues I’d like to draw attention to.

Firstly, banning the usage of phones might lead to some problems. In case of an emergency, what will happen if someone gets injured and time is lost to find a teacher to call for help? If students have their phones nearby, they might save someone’s life.

Second of all, there are teachers that allow us to use them. For example, during art classes our phones are a great source of inspiration when we experience a lack of creativity. Moreover, we can search some useful information or learn new things in a fun way.

Third of all, please consider the fact that most of us are digital natives and our phones are a tool to learn better. Most of us, in order to manage our time better, do our homework or learn for different subjects during break time or during classes in which the teacher is absent. Even if we don’t do homework, we can relax by reading something or by playing games.

At the end of the day, I would be very grateful if you could consider the fact that using the phone isn’t always bad.

Best regards,
