Good at first

In the movie Captain Fantastic, Ben Cash is a dedicated father who educates his six children, living in isolation in the wilderness, abandoning the traditional education system. He teaches his children through direct experiences to know nature, to manage in the wild and to develop a high level of intelligence.

However, as the story progresses, it becomes apparent that Ben’s approach also has negative aspects. His children are socially isolated and lack interaction with other children or with society. They will not integrate so easily in the social environment because they will not talk to anyone other than their family.

In my opinion, homeschooling can provide a number of important benefits. It is a great opportunity for students to learn in a comfortable and familiar environment, which can increase their level of concentration and confidence.

My personal experience with home school is a good one. When I was little I wanted to do school at home because I didn’t like waking up in the morning and I thought I could sleep more. But over time I noticed that it’s better to go to school because when I was at home I wouldn’t like to have classes whenever I have free time.

In conclusion home school, as presented in the movie Captain Fantastic, highlights the importance of a personalized education that emphasizes exploration, critical thinking and connection with nature. In my view, homeschooling can be a great option for certain children and families because it gives them flexibility and freedom in their learning process.
