The Snickers advert is a comic ad in which a dilemma is solved by eating a Snickers candy. They show a football team in a changing room . They probably filmed here because one of the player transforms into a old and angry lady; the changing room is a symbol for this transformation, it’s like Narnia: if you enter in this room you will be a different person and this is “the power of Snickers” .
The viewer will be attracted to buy this product because he is thinking that he will can transform in anything he wants.
“Dan, take a Snickers! “ said another player to him . “Why?” Dan said, and the player said: “Because you turn into a right diva when your hungry.”
After Dan eats the candy, he becomes a player. The question “Better?” became famous.
The persons that brand the product are famous women: Joan Collins and Stephanie Becham, which means that the ad uses celebrity endorsement. We are led into believing that if we eat Snickers we can be anyone, or we will be “zen”.
The ad is a little bit aggressive when Dan is snappy with his friend saying “Zip it, shrimpy” . Maybe the ad use an aggressive form to make people buy this candy.
But , after all, I can say that this is my favorite ad and I can watch it over and over again and Snickers is a really good candy.
