Parkour, sport and art

Parkour (or PK) is a discipline that helps you to get over any obstacles using the fastest and most efficient method to travel from point A to point B using only your body. It arose in France, and its “father” is David Bell. It is not a competition, because the athletes see each other like an equal. In Oradea the first practicant of parkour is Mao Andrei, the leader of this community. For training they use elements like railings, trees or buildings. They see this training different from the others which are based on a lot of rules, for them is a kind of revolution.

parkour03Cristian Cartis: Everything began with a game, because one of my friends bragged that he learned all kinds of moves and jumps. He made that every time we meet, and one day i decided to follow him. Those moves and jumps he was practicing were called “parkour”. At the beginning it was only me and him, from our group of friends, after a period of time it became a hobby. Into a day we thought what if we would be part of Comunitatea Parkour Oradea, which participated at “Romanians got Tallent”, said and done. Now we are part of Comunitatea Parkour Oradea, and we had a lot of shows.
