There is an native American Indian story that sounds like this: an old Indian man of Cherokee tribe is teaching his nephew about life. “Inside me there is a fight” , he said to the boy. “There is a terrible fight between two wolves . One of them is bad – full of anger, envy, sadness, regret, greed, arrogance, self pity and blame, resentment, lies, pride, superiority. The other one is good. It’s joy, peace, love, hope, tranquility, humility, goodness, goodwill, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. The same battle is also within you, like in me or any other person”. His nephew thought one minute, then he asked his grandpa: “And which wolf wins ?” The old Cherokee answered: “The one you’re feeding”. (GEORGE BREDĂU)
